My family and I had stopped in a picnic area off of Bow Valley Parkway to take a break and stretch our legs. I had taken my camera with me as I felt like there something there I needed to photograph. As I walked around I took in the pretty autumn yellows and oranges of the trees..but I knew that wasn't it. Then, this Raven presented themselves to me. I watched him hop along the picnic area checking out different spaces, most likely looking for something to eat. They they jumped onto a picnic table and I knew that was it. The lighting of the sun hit this raven just so, and because I am a fan of this kind of lighting I was excited to be able to capture this moment. Looking at this picture I thought maybe this Raven was looking up to the sky waiting for a message. But, my friend later said to me that she saw the light on the Raven and to her it represented to affirmation "I Am Light". Perhaps you see something different.
